Wall of Sound: The Very Best of Phil Spector 1961-1966 features songs that rang with Spectors signature studio approach that ruled the pop charts with singles from his own Philles label that were as ubiquitous as Motown's and rivaled the popularity of the Beatles. DISPATCH ADDS SECOND SHOW AT RED BULL ARENA ON JUNE 17th TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
Due to popular demand, Dispatch announced today that it will add a second show at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ on June 17. Dispatch, which drew more than 110,000 people to their most recent hometown appearance at Boston’s Hatch Shell and was the first independent band ever to sell out New York City’s Madison Square Garden, a feat they repeated for three consecutive nights, will visit Red Bull Arena as part of a six-city nationwide tour in their first appearances since 2007. Dispatch’s other Red Bull Arena show on June 18 is nearly sold out. The concerts will the first in Red Bull Arena’s history.

FlipATicket.com today announced that it is leading the charge of brokers who have united and said, “Enough is enough!”. Over the course of the last several years, brokers have witnessed drastic changes the ticket industry has undergone; so drastic, in fact, that it is difficult to fully grasp.

Who could have imagined that all of those things would take place in five short years?

If you were told five years ago that EI would be purchased by Ticketmaster, or that StubHub would be purchased by eBay, or that TN would morph into a gargantuan network of thousands of brokers, or that Ticket Technology would be bought by StubHub/eBay, or that LiveNation would buy every venue under the sun and ditch Ticketmaster for their own ticketing service, only to merge with Ticketmaster a few months later, would you have believed any of it? Who could have imagined that all of those things would take place in five short years?

A number of months back, the folks behind BlueBucs.com sat down and started working on ideas of how to counteract the absurdity that has transpired in our industry, and to help brokers regain control over their business and costs. They poured over so many ideas and options that it is impossible to enumerate, but their brainstorming team always came back to two primary “must do” points:

Playing guitar and piano, he will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night. One of the many guitars Jackson will be bringing on the road this time is the just-released Gibson Acoustic Jackson Browne Signature acoustic guitar. The handmade instrument, inspired by Gibson's legendary 1930s-era Roy Smeck model, is the first guitar to bear Jackson Browne's name.
The intimacy of Jackson's solo performances has been captured on two live albums, the GRAMMY®-nominated Jackson Browne-Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1 (2005), and Jackson Browne-Solo Acoustic, Vol. 2 (2008), both released on Inside Recordings.

A number of months back, the folks behind BlueBucs.com sat down and started working on ideas of how to counteract the absurdity that has transpired in our industry, and to help brokers regain control over their business and costs. They poured over so many ideas and options that it is impossible to enumerate, but their brainstorming team always came back to two primary “must do” points:

So far done are "Stuck on You" (with Darius Rucker), "Sail On" (Tim McGraw), "Lady" (Kenny Rogers), "Easy" (Willie Nelson), "Deep River Woman" (Little Big Town), "You Are" (Blake Shelton) and "All Night Long" (Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band). Still to do are recordings with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band. "We're having a blast," Brown tells CMT.com. "Lionel is the coolest fun guy, and he's blown away by the musicians here." Brown estimates the album will be out this summer.

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the second performance slated for Summerfest 2011. Katy Perry will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Thursday, July 7 at 7:30PM. An opening act will be announced at a later date.
Katy Perry sang in her local church as a child and began to pursue her career in music during high school. In 2007 she signed with her current label and rose to fame with the release of her second single “I Kissed a Girl” in 2008. Her first studio album One of the Boys followed later that year and also produced the singles “Hot n Cold” and “Waking Up in Vegas.” Perry’s sophomore album, Teenage Dream, was released in August 2010 and debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200. The album includes hit singles “California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream” and “Firework”, all of which have topped the charts on the Billboard Hot 100 and worldwide.
Perry is known for her unconventional clothing style, incorporating bright colors and patterns as well as fruit and dessert accessories into her outfits. She recently made the news for her October 2010 marriage to comedian Russel Brand. Katy has begun to build her empire beyond music with the recent release of her fragrance, Purr.

WILCO bring Solid Sound Festival to MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA
WILCO with the help of a few thousand people brought the inaugural Solid Sound Festival to MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA, August 13 thru 15. In addition to Wilco, the guys' side projects: The Autumn Defense, On Fillmore, Pronto and The Nels Cline Singers performed as well as a handful of other bands including: The Books, Outrageous Cherry, The Baseball Project, Avi Buffalo, Vetiver, Mavis Staples, Mountain Man, Brenda, Sir Richard Bishop as well as comedians John Mulaney, Todd Barry, Hannibal Buress and Kristen Schaal.

This Spring, Chris Cornell will embark on his first-ever solo acoustic “Songbook” tour. Running from April through May 2011, it will spotlight songs from throughout his illustrious career, as well as a few surprise covers.
Back in December 2009, Cornell played his first acoustic “Songbook” show in Los Angeles at the Hotel Cafe to overwhelming response - the show sold out instantly. A second performance soon followed at the city's famous Troubadour.
Now, live audiences across the US & Canada will also have the chance to see Chris perform unplugged, up close and personal - an event many fans have been eagerly anticipating for years. Within this alternative setting, Cornell can easily interact with the audience and share insights about his music. Familiar songs emerge in a new context, showing that great songwriting translates to any idiom.

Back in December 2009, Cornell played his first acoustic “Songbook” show in Los Angeles at the Hotel Cafe to overwhelming response - the show sold out instantly. A second performance soon followed at the city's famous Troubadour.

The Black Crowes schedule the last shows for the band's 20th anniversary tour, playing Euro festivals and venues.
The Black Crowes will play 8 final shows on the "Say Goodbye To The Bad Guys" tour, performing at the Dieci Giorni Suonati City Festival in Vigevano, Italy, July 7; the Bilbao Rock Festival in Spain July 9; Britain's Manchester Academy July 11; London at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire July 12-13; the Zwarte Cross Festival in Lichtenvoorde, Netherlands, July 15 and Amsterdam's Paradiso July 17-18.

The Pixies announce “Doolittle Tour” to 13 Canadian cities this Spring. The tour will kick off April 9 at the Metro Center in Halifax and work its way across to Western Canada, ending in Vancouver on May 3. This will be the Pixies’ most extensive tour of the provinces, and will see the band visiting several Canadian cities for the very first time. In addition, the tour will make stops at three U.S. cities.

The Hold Steady - New Tour Dates Announced
The Hold Steady, who released the "vital piece of wizened wisdom" (Village Voice) 'Heaven Is Whenever' (Vagrant) last year, kick off 2011 with the release of the stripped down 'Live at Soho' iTunes session, a new song on the soundtrack for the Universal Pictures comedy "The Dilemma," and announce a handful of US tour dates, including three upcoming NYC shows.
The band will play two SOLD OUT shows at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, January 30 and 31, as well as an April 8 show at Terminal 5. In between the Music Hall of Williamsburg shows and the Terminal 5 date, the band will head out on extensive UK and Australian tours, and also play a show April 2 at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH.
The iTunes 'Live at Soho' session was recorded last year, the night after a triumphant, sold-out show at New York's famed Beacon Theatre, and features stripped down, acoustic takes on songs from The Hold Steady's increasingly deep catalogue. For 'The Dilemma- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack,' out now, the band wrote new song "Just Saying" specifically for the film.
