The San Diego Padres announced today that they have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with infielder Orlando Hudson for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Hudson, 33, spent the 2010 season with the Minnesota Twins and hit .268 (133-for-497) with six home runs, 24 doubles, five triples, 37 RBI, 80 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 126 games played. He started 123 games at second base last season, where he has a career .986 fielding percentage in 1,121 games. The switch-hitter is a two-time All-Star, most recently with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2009, and four-time Rawlings Gold Glove award winner.
