Texas A&M Aggies have marched their way back into the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic

The Texas A&M Aggies have marched their way back into the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. Aggie athletic department officials formally accepted an invitation to the 75th Classic extended by AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic Chairman Tommy Bain on Tuesday.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to have the Aggies back in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic," Bain said. "Texas A&M has had a remarkable season and they deserve to be rewarded for their tremendous efforts. It's going to be quite a celebration at the 75th Classic."

No. 18-ranked Texas A&M will face a team from the Southeastern Conference, which will be formally announced this Sunday. The Aggies are one of the hottest teams in the country, having won six straight to earn a bid to the Classic.

The 2011 AT&T Cotton Bowl marks the 12th appearance at the Classic for the Aggies and their first since 2005 when Tennessee upended Texas A&M, 38-7.
