Rich Rodriguez's tenure as Michigan's head football coach is officially over.

According to ESPN, a person familiar with the situation said that Michigan athletics director Dave Brandon made Rodriguez's firing official on Wednesday and that the coach was meeting with his players one last time.

Brandon will speak at a news conference scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET to "talk about the state of the football program under the direction of head coach Rich Rodriguez."
