SONG OF THE FORTNIGHT - 01/11/11 Check out "Great Escape" by Sister Hazel @ www.ctmg.us/fortnight

Another quality track from one of Florida's finest. Sister Hazel has consistently dropped hit song after hit song since their mid 90's debut, "All for You", and here's another in "Great Escape".

With a unique sound, based around the vocal harmonies of Ken Block and Andrew Copeland, the smooth, southern lead guitar of Ryan Newell, and the solid rhythm section of Jett Beres on bass, and Mark Trojanowski on drums, they released their eighth album, Heartland Highway, last October.

The boys are no strangers to the touring scene either, having put their time in on the road over the years. I have had the good fortune of doing some singer/songwriter shows with Ken and Andrew recently, and aside from the pleasure of hearing their killer harmonies in such an intimate format, I have deduced that they have a future as a comedy duo if the music thing doesn't work out.

They ride each other like brothers, to the point where you wonder if you should be privy to such banter. Great fun! Catch them on the Rock Boat, or at a venue near you
