2011 Sundance Film Festival Awards

The Awards Ceremony was held at the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse at Kimball Junction, a vast, rectangular space transformed with blue and white lights and projections of gently rotating snowflake, and a stage done up as a modified ice castle.

Host Tim Blake Nelson and Festival Director John Cooper donned full-body snowflake costumes to begin the awarding of 26 honors. The Grand Jury Prize for Documentary went to Peter D. Richardson's How to Die in Oregon and the Dramatic prize went to Drake Doremus' Like Crazy (pictured above). The U.S. Audience Awards presented by Acura went to Cindy Meehl's Buck for documentary and Maryam Keshavarz's Circumstance for Dramatic.
