A 1999 line-up of Phil Lesh and friends included Merl Saunders on keys and Warren Haynes and Steve Kimock on guitars, who worked superbly together as they explored a set of Grateful Dead tunes, individual showcases, and classic rock covers. And a 1971 Fillmore East set from Rahsaan Roland Kirk features the simultaneous-multi-instrumentalist showing off his chops within the context of some edgy and irreverent -- yet joyous and beautiful -- free flowing jazz.
