Heinz Field To Host Region's Biggest Summer Kick-Off Party
Brad Paisley's H20 II Wetter and Wilder Headlines Steelers Country Music Festival
Heinz Field launches the inaugural Steelers Country Music Festival Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-29) with an all-star lineup featuring hometown artist and CMA Entertainer of the Year, Brad Paisley. This unique weekend will feature concerts, football, water events, food and fun in a never-before-seen presentation.
The Steelers Country Music Festival will be the region’s biggest summer kickoff party. The 2011 weekend will be the premiere of The Brad Paisley H2O II World Tour presented by Chevy on Saturday May 28 with special guests Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Jerrod Niemann and a few surprise appearances fans will not want to miss. A second stage will feature emerging new stars Brent Anderson, Edens Edge and Sunny Sweeney.
The Avett Brothers will kick off the weekend with a performance at Stage AE on Friday, May 27.
Weezer will conclude the weekend with a concert, also at Stage AE, on Sunday, May 29.
In addition to the music stages, the H2O II World Tour will bring back the very popular and fan favorite “Water World Plaza,” turning Art Rooney Avenue into a water festival. The water festival will include the Chevy H2O FLW fishing simulator, dunking booth, slip-n-slide and other various water games. For land lovers, fans can put their black and gold pride to the test at the newly refurbished Steelers Experience, test drive the Corvette ZR1 against Brad Paisley himself at the Chevy Corvette driving simulator, or satisfy their summer taste buds at a number of summer food cook-off booths.
