Some big news to announce. First and foremost, if you haven't already heard, Punch Brothers are nominated for TWO Grammys this year. The nominations are for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals for the song "Pride" with Dierks Bentley and Del McCoury and Best Country Instrumental Performance for the song "New Chance Blues," which was released as a bonus track with Antifogmatic. To celebrate, they decided to give away a FREE download of "New Chance Blues" here.
They also have a slew of new 2011 tour dates to announce, including stops in Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. Below is a full list of dates. In addition to the Punch Brothers dates, Chris Thile will be performing with Gabriel Kahane and special guest Brad Mehldau at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City on Wednesday, March 2nd. Chris will also play three symphony dates, performing his Mandolin Concerto, in Cedar Falls, IA, Scottsdale, AZ, and Great Falls, MT.
